Krispy Krunchy Opens Five New La. Locations

Retailers, other operators add branded chicken program
JONESVILLE, La. -- Krispy Krunchy Foods has announced the addition of five more locations to its branded chicken program in Louisiana: in Baton Rouge at the Save More No. 2; in New Orleans at the Pizza Primo No. 2; in Logansport at the Logansport Truck Stop; in Delcambre at the Country Store; and in Leesville at Griffin's Store.

Don Griffin, owner of Griffin's Store, said that his new Krispy Krunchy operation is gaining popularity because of the product offering and prices. He said that he especially liked the Krispy Krunchy sales and support approach of no high-pressure [image-nocss] sales and quality training.

Krispy Krunchy Foods is a provider of quick-serve restaurant (QSR) concepts with more than 500 retail locations in 14 states. Although convenience stores and grocery stores are its core business, it is also in freestanding restaurants, bars, mall food courts, water parks and bowling alleys.

The Jonesville, La.-based company features Cajun-style chicken which is always fried in zero trans fat oil and pizza. The menu also includes signature dishes of Cajun tenders, jambalaya, boudin bites (Cajun rice balls), catfish and honey butter biscuits.

Krispy Krunchy offers a completely customized program with no franchisee or royalty fees. It is designed to give operators a professional and branded image with the ability to deliver quality food to their customers at a low price. Their branded-look includes a full graphics package, layout, design and scale drawings. The program may also be co-branded with another food program and use existing onsite equipment. Krispy Krunchy provides complete training and support programs, it said.
