Parker's Names New Director of Foodservice

Marine Corps vet Springer also veteran of Dairy Queen, UNO, Pizza Hut

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Convenience store chain Parker's has named David Springer as director of foodservice. In his new position, Springer will oversee the company's multi-million dollar self-serve food offerings in all 36 stores in Georgia and South Carolina.

"David has been a respected leader and advisor within the restaurant industry, and a 'hands-on' performer in the areas of foodservice development, financial data management, strategic planning and brand development. He will be a strong addition to our existing team."

Most recently, he has served as vice president of operations of IDC Ohio Management, operators of Dairy Queen locations throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania, where he guided that company through the implementation of the DQ new Grill & Chill concept.

Springer previously held the position of general manager of operations from 2006 to 2009 of JRR Associates Inc., UNO Chicago Grill franchisee, and opened that group's first three UNO locations in Michigan. He has also worked with Ground Round Inc. as director for the Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana markets, and with Hallrich Inc., a Pizza Hut franchisee with 99 restaurants in the northeastern Ohio region.

Spriner is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps with the rank of 1st lieutenant, and earned a Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
