Quick Chek Donates $1,200 to Boys & Girls Club of Saugerties

Funds raised from sale of food at new location

SAUGERTIES, N.Y. -- Saugerties Quick Chek Store Leader Lynn Rhinesmith has presented a donation totaling $1,223.75 to the Boys & Girls Club of Saugerties. The donation represents 25 cents for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold during the Saugerties Quick Chek's first 30 days in operation (May 28 to June 26, 2009) following the store's recent grand opening celebration.

The new Quick Chek store includes a coffee bar, sub shop, soup bar, bakery items made fresh everyday, a no-fee ATM center and 20 fueling stations, the retailer said.When the Saugerties store opened in late [image-nocss] May, it offered customers free coffee during the store's first 11 days in business. The 7,216-square-foot store will open to the public on May 28 at 5:00 a.m. following a special Quick Chek Coffee Toast ceremony on May 27 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. There, local officials, community members and store representatives gathered to grind, brew and pour the very first cup of Quick Chek's fresh coffee at the new store.
