Customers purchasing any size Quick Chek coffee between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on May 7 automatically received a "Sub Stimulus Plan" stamp on their hand at checkout. When they returned to their Quick Chek store between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 [image-nocss] p.m. that same day, each individual was able to choose one of five most popular Quick Chek sub varieties for lunch free of charge.
"At Quick Chek we pride ourselves on being involved members of the communities we serve," said John Schaninger, vice president of sales and merchandising of Quick Chek. "During these tough economic times, our customers need and deserve a break, and we are delighted to have offered them a free lunch to offer some relief."
In other news of the Whitehouse Station, N.J.-based company, Lafayette Quick Chek store leader Bonnie Lozier (pictured, center), along with Jennifer Vorst, Quick Chek team member, presented a donation totaling $1,966.75 to David Decker and Joel Blackford of the Lafayette Volunteer Fire Department. The donation represents 25 cents for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold during the Lafayette Quick Chek's first 30 days in operation following its recent grand-opening celebration.
The new Quick Chek store, in Lafayette, N.J., includes a coffee bar, sub shop, soup bar, bakery items made fresh everyday, a no-fee ATM center and 14 fueling stations.
