Ricker's Providing Joe to 'Bob & Tom Show'

Indiana convenience store chain announces official coffee partnership with radio show

INDIANAPOLIS --Beginning in first-quarter 2014 and again in fourth-quarter 2014, Ricker's Convenience Stores will provide its locally roasted gourmet coffee to morning radio hosts Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold and the rest of the gang as The Official Coffee of The Bob & Tom Show.

"Having an official coffee on the show is definitely a first, and we're happy it's a great-tasting, hometown brew that's accessible to our local listeners," said Griswold.

In addition to drinking Ricker's locally roasted coffee on air each morning, Bob & Tom will also enjoy a live in-studio tasting of a different coffee blend each Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. ET on Q95 in Indianapolis. Flavors will include 100% Colombian, House Blend Light Roast, Red Eye Blend, Dark Roast and Decaf, all brewed using Ricker's new reverse osmosis water filtration system.

"No more stale coffee for me! I'm looking forward to enjoying a fresh Ricker's cup every morning," said Kevoian.

During first-quarter 2014, Ricker's customers will enjoy their coffee at a special 95-cent price in a Bob & Tom limited-edition cup. Souvenir Bob & Tom travel coffee cups will also be available for purchase. As always, customers can have their coffee any way they want it with abundant flavorings, creamers and sweeteners.

"Growing up in Indiana, I have always enjoyed listening to The Bob & Tom Show, and I am thrilled Ricker's has the opportunity to partner with such an iconic local program," said Ricker's president and CEO Quinn Ricker. "It's the perfect partnership. Both Ricker's and The Bob & Tom Show are home grown."

The show is on morningd from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET.

Ricker Oil Co. Inc. was founded in 1979 by Jay and Nancy Ricker in Middletown, Ind.; 10 years later, they purchased the company's first convenience store. Since its inception, Ricker's has grown to include 50 c-stores, which employ more than 650 Hoosiers. Based in Anderson, Ind., Ricker's is known for its "RickerPop" fountain drinks.
