Rutter's Farm Stores Introduces Kids Meal

Available for $2.99 in 36 stores offering touchscreen ordering
YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Farm Stores has announced that it is launching a $2.99 kids meal. Now available in 36 Rutter's convenience stores that offer touchscreen ordering, the kids meal features a choice of a grilled cheese sandwich, four-piece chicken nuggets or regular hot dog, the company said.

The side-dish options are a regular-sized order of fries, macaroni and cheese bites or a banana. The beverage choices are a 12-oz. fountain or frozen beverage or a 16-oz. Rutter's-brand iced tea, milk or juice from the cooler case.

The meal, plus a four-pack of crayons, comes [image-nocss] in a paper "activity" bag.
"At $2.99, our kids meal is an exceptional value," said Jerry Weiner, Rutter's vice president of food service. "We think it's perfect for the economic times and for the limited amount of time that people have. With our touchscreen ordering, it's a fast, easy way to get a tasty meal for the kids."

Based in York, Pa., the family-owned, third-generation managed Rutter's companies include Rutter's Farm Stores, which operates 56 convenience stores in York, Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin and Lancaster counties in Pennsylvania; Rutter's Dairy, which serves Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey; and M&G Realty, a real-estate development company.
