"People are trying to eat healthier, even when they are away from home. Bringing our Select Harvest soups into foodservice allows us to offer more great tasting, 100% all natural options to people eating meals [image-nocss] away from home," said Taly Salamon, manager, innovation and business development, Campbell Soup Co.
Select Harvest soups' high-quality ingredients include 100% all-natural chicken stock, tangerine tomatoes, sweet basil and other naturally delicious ingredients. Plus, Campbell has added a lower-sodium natural sea salt, which enables each Campbell's Select Harvest soup to meet the healthy sodium level of 480 mg. per 8-oz. serving while still delivering great taste.
Campbell's retail line of Select Harvest soups was the company's fastest-growing soup line last year. The launch of Select Harvest soups in foodservice will help Campbell address the increasing demand for great-tasting and nutritious options in universities, offices and other non-commercial operations.
As part of the product launch, Campbell's North America Foodservice division is sponsoring a "Culinary Me" sweepstakes for operators and a "Better Me" spa sweepstakes for consumers. The "Culinary Me" grand prize will be awarded to five operators, and will include a Culinary Package and Culinary Day at their operation hosted by a Campbell North America Foodservice chef. One consumer will win the "Better Me" grand prize, a spa getaway.
Campbell's Select Harvest foodservice soups are packaged by the case, each of which includes three 4-pound 100% recyclable plastic trays of soup. The soups are available now, and are $31-$33 per case.
Since 1965, Campbell's North America Foodservice division has provided restaurants, schools and institutions with great-tasting, nutritionally balanced products.
