SuperAmerica Honors Land Mark Products

Day'n Night Bites pizza program garners 2014 Category Partner & Vendor of Year Award

MILFORD, Iowa --SuperAmerica has awarded the 2014 Category Partner & Vendor of the Year Award to Land Mark Products Inc., a leading food manufacturer to the convenience-store industry.

The c-store chain gives the award to companies that have demonstrated extraordinary performance in service to the employees and customers of the SuperAmerica organization.

"This is a real honor for us," said Land Mark Products president and CEO, Jason Farrell. "When we make a pizza or a sandwich, it's really going to two customers: the person at the convenience store looking for a quick bite and the convenience store itself. Speaking for the whole team--from the people in food preparation to our drivers to our office to our field staff--we keep those two customers in mind, every day, every pizza, every sandwich. When a company like SuperAmerica appreciates our work, it makes everything we all do especially worthwhile."

SuperAmerica gave the company the award, in part, due to Land Mark's feat of helping SuperAmerica launch a self-service pizza program in record-setting time. Provided under Land Mark's Day'n Night Bites brand, the company played a decisive role in setting up and establishing pizza service in 140 locations in three weeks.

"The Day'n Night Bites pizza team really impressed us," said SuperAmerica president, Jack Helmick. "Our performance criteria was tough. Our in-store space is limited, our employees have to multi-task and most importantly, customers have to love it. Land Mark recommended that we try their Pizza Wedge strategy, and it's been a huge hit. Our award is a heartfelt 'thank you' from the entire SuperAmerica crew."

Land Mark Products was founded in 1977 as a provider of pizzeria-quality pizzas to the convenience-store industry. It manufactures and distributes foods across the country with a product range that also includes sandwiches, breakfast programs and pizza components.

Woodbury, Minn.-based Northern Tier Retail operates and franchises convenience stores under the SuperAmerica brand, with 165 company-operated locations.
