WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America invites all veterans and active duty military to enjoy a complimentary meal on Independence Day, July 4, 2012, at any participating TA and Petro Stopping Centers sitdown restaurant across the United States.
TA and Petro will be honoring the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have valiantly fought for our country. They can enjoy Independence Day meals at more than 170 participating Iron Skillet, Country Pride and other full-service, homestyle restaurants within TA and Petro Stopping Centers.
"We understand that military personnel sacrifice their personal and family time by being in the armed forces, doing what needs to be done to keep America safe," said Tom O'Brien, president and CEO of TravelCenters. He added, "Our goal is to recognize and honor veterans and those who are currently serving on Independence Day by providing this service to them."
On July 4, anyone on active duty in the military or a veteran of the armed forces can receive a complimentary meal of their choice (up to a $15 value) by simply showing proof of service to their server prior to ordering their meal. Proof of service includes U.S. uniform services ID card or retired ID card; current leave and earnings statement; veterans organization card; photograph in uniform; DD214; or citation or commendation.
