Tedeschi Remodels Milton, Needham Locations

Retailer also revamps website to showcase products, service, history
ROCKLAND, Mass. -- Maintaining its aggressive efforts to update all of its locations, Tedeschi Food Shops Inc. has completed two new store remodels. The Tedeschi Food Shops in Milton and in Needham were recently renovated, bringing the total of stores remodeled in 2010 to 12.

These newly remodeled stores now offer unique sandwiches, delicious wraps, and freshly made salads as well as fresh produce and healthy snack offerings. As always, the locations continue to offer a variety of quality snacks and beverages, grocery items, and fresh Green Mountain coffee.

Customer [image-nocss] Appreciation celebrations were held on July 30th, where shoppers admired the stores' renovations and tried different food offerings available at Tedeschi Food Shops.

Customers sampled TD's Deli Express sandwiches and wraps, Kayem's Fenway Franks, Frito Lay chips, and Edy's Dibs ice cream. Representatives from Red Bull, Myoplex, Garelick Farms, Nantucket Nectars, Snapple, Pepsi, and Drank were at both stores giving out samples of their beverages. Street teams from WEEI Sports Radio Network and Canobie Lake Park held contests for visitors and gave away sports and amusement park tickets to trivia and game winners.

Tedeschi Food Shops appreciates the neighborhood setting of these stores and enjoys being an active member of the communities in which it is located. The company will continue to offer fresh and healthy food, provide a clean and convenient shopping destination, and contribute to the communities of Milton and Needham.

In other company news, Tedeschi has launched a new corporate website, a multi-faceted endeavor that provides customers with an abundance of information regarding the chain's fresh food, most popular products, store locations and unique attributes and special events.

The new website's features include a search by service or offering option and customized store web pages. The design, site organization and messaging strategy clearly convey Tedeschi's extensive core offering of quality fresh foods, beverages and private-label product offering.

The company's primary goal is to make it immediately evident that Tedeschi Food Shops is proud of its past and focused on its future as the website not only offers details of current products and events, but also provides an introspective look at the history of the company, it said. Another goal is to provide customers with a site that has a youthful feel while offering a more intuitive user experience, thus appealing to a broader audience within a wide range of age groups

The overall design and functionality of the site positions Tedeschi Food Shops as a leader in high-quality convenience products and communicates the company's longevity in the industry, customer-focused culture, innovative product offerings and its focus on local communities, the company added. The website's friendly yet professional tone, logical organization of content and customer feedback capabilities will make it apparent to site visitors that Tedeschi's understands the needs of its customers and values their business as well as their input.

Looking forward, Tedeschi Food Shops will continue to leverage technology to maintain communication with customers and business partners, increase fresh and healthy food offerings and perpetuate a commercial culture of service and innovation, it said.

Established in 1923 and still headquartered in Rockland, Mass., Tedeschi is one of New England's most trusted family-owned and operated convenience store chains, with more than $600 million in annual revenue and more than 2000 employees. The company operates 189 convenience store locations throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
