When Pigs Fly at Rutter's

YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Farm Stores has brought more diversity to its foodservice menu by adding Mahi Mahi fish bites, chicken wings, pork "wings" and taco dogs.

The convenience store chain's all-new flaky Mahi Mahi fish bites are lightly breaded and then fried. Made with 100% Mahi Mahi fish, the new bites are more than five ounces per portion.

Customers can make a meal or a snack of Rutter's new jumbo-sized chicken wings, which are available in quantities of six or 12 in four flavors--original, buffalo, spicy and Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce.

Rutter's is also introducing pork wings, which consist of more than five ounces of "tender, juicy, fall-off-the bone" pork in each serving. Rutter's fries and then seasons each order with the customer's choice of flavors--plain or dipped in spicy hot sauce, buffalo or with Sweet Baby Ray's Original Barbecue Sauce.

Another addition to the Rutter's menu is the Taco Dog. Customers can customize each taco dog, which is prepared on the roller grill, to their exact taste including the roll on which it's served; customers can choose a hot dog roll or a soft taco shell. They can also add cheese, black bean salsa or any of the options on Rutter's list of fresh toppings to each order.

"We are always searching for interesting flavors and creative foods to add to our menu so that we can surprise and delight our customers with bold new tastes they can't find anywhere else," said Rutter's vice president of foodservice, Jerry Weiner.

York, Pa.-based Rutter's Farm Stores has 60 convenience stores located throughout central Pennsylvania.
