2010 Hess Toy Truck Roars Into Stores

This year's edition is Hess Mini Fire Truck

NEW YORK -- A new fire truck joins the fleet of Hess Corp.'s Miniature Truck series. Each year, the Miniature Truck series pays tribute to a popular Hess holiday toy truck from the past. This year's edition packs craftsmanship and detail into a small-scale replica of the 2000 Hess holiday Fire Truck.

It features a three-tiered telescoping ladder with 360-degree rotation, side-mounted ladders and a top-mounted reel hose; working headlights, taillights and emergency lights and chrome accents and piping; and a quick-release display base.

The 2010 Hess Miniature Fire [image-nocss] Truck goes on sale May 28 at participating Hess and Hess Express retail stores for $6.99 plus tax, while supplies last ; Energizer batteries are included.

"Like our holiday trucks, Hess Miniature Trucks have become an annual tradition for a lot of people," said Rick Lawlor, vice president of retail marketing for Hess Corp. "We love the stories we hear from people who add to a loved one's Miniature Truck collection each year, or give a Miniature Truck as gift to a dad every Father's Day."

The Hess Toy Truck, launched in 1964, is one of the longest running toy brands on the market, the company said.
