2014 NACS Show Focus on Energy Shots (Slideshow)

New SKUs, packaging and enhancements coming to retail

LAS VEGAS -- Despite being a subcategory in decline—down 8.0% in 2013 and 3.7% in 2014 through June 14—energy shots were well represented on the NACS Show floor, with dozens of SKUs on display and many line extensions to explore.

But beyond that, the shot category saw a healthy extension in other directions: relaxation, appetite suppression, pain relievers and even one stalwart energy-shot that’s branching out into coffee K-Cups with two different enhancements.

New packaging and display options could also be found on the tradeshow floor. Here are some of the new variants that caught the eyes of CSP Daily News.
