Couche-Tard to Carry Noveko's Products

Quebec stores will stock hand sanitizers, masks

LAVAL, Quebec -- Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. will enable its customers to benefit from the antimicrobial protection provided by the line of sanitizers and masks marketed by Noveko International Inc. Since Nov. 30, 2009, Couche-Tard convenience stores located in Quebec have made Noveko's antiseptic products available to all their customers so they may disinfect their hands in-store.

Couche-Tard will also promote and market Noveko's products across its network.

"We prioritize our customers' and employees' health. Considering the current pandemic, we hence encourage [image-nocss] them to maintain healthy hand hygiene in order to reduce the risk of spreading germs. We are pleased to offer the best product on the market, with its powerful antimicrobial properties, killing 99.9% of common germs, combined with enriched emollients that leave hands soft even after repeated use," said Chantale Sajo, director of marketing and communications for Couche-Tard.

Furthermore, at the end of December, the Noveko 4xEZU antimicrobial masks will be available in two-packs to be sold in most Couche-Tard c-stores across Quebec. In addition, as of Jan. 15, 2010, Couche-Tard will distribute the 25, 125 and 500ml formats of Noveko's line of hand sanitizers, now marketed under the Microban brand, along with the AZURO surface disinfectants.

"We are very proud to team up with Couche-Tard, the ideal partner in our process of making our sanitizers and masks available to the population at large. The size of its store network will contribute to further promote our products to the population," added Alain Bolduc, president and COO of the company.

Montreal-based Noveko offers solutions in the environmental and medical fields worldwide. Through its subsidiaries, the company specializes primarily in the following business segments: the development, manufacturing and marketing of derivative products from its patented antimicrobial filtration technology, including air filters, surgical masks and respirators, along with other products with antibacterial properties such as Microban brand hand sanitizers, and the development, manufacturing and marketing of medical equipment, primarily portable real-time ultrasound scanners for use in human and veterinary medicine.

Laval, Quebec-based Couche-Tard is the largest independent c-store operator (whether integrated with a petroleum company or not) in terms of number of stores. Couche-Tard currently operates a network of more than 5,900 c-stores, more than 4,100 of which include motor fuel dispensing, located in 11 large geographic markets, including eight in the United States covering 43 states and the District of Columbia, and three in Canada covering all 10 provinces.
