Eby-Brown to Acquire A.J. Silberman

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Eby-Brown Co. LLC has reached an agreement to purchase the assets of A.J. Silberman & Co., a wholesale distributor to convenience-store retailers located in Cheswick, Pa. Terms of the deal were not released.

Eby-Brown is a privately held convenience-store distributor with annual revenues in excess of $5.6 billion, servicing retail accounts throughout the Midwest, Northeast and Southeast. A.J. Silberman serves more than 1,000 convenience-store customers in Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio. The purchase extends Eby-Brown’s market reach further into those states. Upon closing the sale, the Cheswick facility will operate as AJ Silberman, a division of Eby-Brown.
