N.J. Shell Station Adding U-Haul Services, Merchandise

Moving company featuring two contests to honor military

HADDON HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Ravinder Singh, owner of Shell Food Market in Haddon Heights, N.J., recently added U‑Haul truck and trailer rentals and moving merchandise to the gas station business.

The retailers can now offer its customers a variety of moving equipment and supplies designed specifically for moving household furnishings, including moving vans, open trailers, closed trailers, furniture pads, appliance dollies, furniture dollies, tow dollies and auto transports.

"U-Haul is proud to be partnering with a quality independent business such as Shell Food Market," said Paul Kelly, president, U-Haul Co. of Southern New Jersey. "Ravinder is a great example of the type of successful business relationship U‑Haul has established in order to build and maintain a strong network of more than 15,000 independent dealers across North America."

In other company news, U-Haul is hosting two online contests.

The U-Haul Military video contest will award a $500 U-Haul Gift Certificate to a current or previous member of the armed forces. To win, contestants need to create a short video telling U-Haul why they should be the military honoree. They must upload the video to the contest home page on the U-Haul Facebook page. The video with the most votes on Aug. 6, 2012, at 11:59 p.m. EDT will win a $500 U-Haul gift certificate that can be used toward any U-Haul product or service.

The U-Haul SuperGraphics coloring contest is also recognizing all branches of the United States armed forces in this month's coloring contest, which features a special commemorative coloring page dedicated to the military. The winning entry in each age group will receive a $50 Visa gift card and a chance to compete for the grand prize: their graphic on the side of a local U-Haul truck, and an unveiling party for their friends and family.
