category manager of the year

For the second straight year, CSP magazine is inviting the industry’s supplier partners to nominate the category managers who exemplify those characteristics for its Category Manager of the Year Award. Nominations can be made by filling out the entry form at CSPDailyNews.com/CategoryManagerAward between now and Sept. 9.

“We were humbled by the incredible reaction to the Category Manager of the Year Award when we launched the initiative last year,” said Jim Bursch, executive vice president of convenience for Winsight LLC. “The tremendous support from the entire industry encouraged us to immediately take the program to the next level. We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll honor the winners during a special ceremony during Convenience Retailing University.”

Nominations and winners of the Category Manager of the Year Award will be chosen by their supplier partners. Category managers will be awarded in eight product categories:

  • Alcohol Beverages
  • Candy
  • Foodservice
  • General Merchandise/HBC
  • OTP
  • Packaged Beverages
  • Snacks
  • Tobacco

Winners from each category will be announced at an inaugural awards ceremony during Convenience Retailing University, to be held Feb. 22-24, 2017, in Glendale, Ariz. A special profile of the winners will be featured in CSP magazine’s award-winning Category Management Handbook print issue and its digital counterpart.
