Redbox Rolls Out Redbox Gifts

Kiosk company launches its first gifting option

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. -- Movie and game kiosk company Redbox Automated Retail LLC has introduced Redbox gifts, available for purchase at redbox.com in bundles of five first-night DVD rentals for $5 or 10 first-night DVD rentals for $10. Additional DVD night rentals are $1.20 per night.

Redbox gifts can be shared via email, text or Facebook. Each Redbox gift is accompanied by a personalized message and one of many design options.

Redbox gifts can be redeemed at any of the more than 34,400 kiosks nationwide and are valid for the first night's rental. Redbox gifts cannot be applied to online rentals.

The company said that a Redbox kiosk is located within a five-minute drive of more than two thirds of the U.S. population.

Redbox gifts are issued by Redbox Incentives LLC, an Illinois company.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Coinstar Inc., Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.-based Redbox Automated Retail offers new-release DVD, Blu-ray Disc and video game rentals through its network of conveniently located, self-service kiosks. Redbox has rented more than 1.5 billion discs and is available at more than 34,400 kiosks across more than 28,000 locations nationwide, including select McDonald's restaurants, leading grocery, drug and convenience stores, select Walmart locations and Walgreens locations in select markets.
