S. Abraham & Sons Meets The Beatles

2012 trade show will pay tribute to Fab Four

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- S. Abraham & Sons (SAS) will present its 2012 Vendor Exhibit & Trade Show, The Magical Mystery Tour, to honor the 50th anniversary of The Beatles, the company said.

The 26th annual show--to be held at the DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Mich., on February 23--will feature 140 booths, representing 251 manufacturers; 21 of these suppliers will represent new lines for SAS.

A new customer ordering system will allow each customer, chain and independent, to take home their order information on a USB flash drive.

Approximately 1,500 stores will be represented by buyers at this year's show, SAS said.

The show will feature an array of packaged convenience and foodservice items, displayed within the show convenience store, as well as at vendor booths. New merchandising concepts and fixtures will be featured within the show store.

Fruit Ridge Farms, the SAS proprietary fresh program, will showcase a variety of sub sandwiches, including the new meatloaf sub, wedge sandwiches, along with side and dinner salads. Fresh fruits and produce are also an important part of the program.

Beantown, the SAS proprietary coffee program, is always a popular exhibit, as well as "Hot off the Grill," the SAS proprietary roller grill program featuring Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs.

Following dinner on February 23, customers and vendors will be entertained by Yesterday: a Beatles Tribute Band.
