EMERYVILLE, Calif. -- Healthy snack bar producer Clif Bar & Co. has added three new products to its line of on-the-go foods: Clif Fruit Smoothie Filled Energy Bars, Clif Bar Sweet & Salty Energy Bars and Clif Energy Granola, the latter of which is a new food category for the brand. Each new product is now available to retailers nationwide.
“At Clif, we make craveable food for athletes and everyday adventurers,” said Dan Hickle, vice president of brand marketing for Clif. “All of our offerings are crafted with purpose, providing nutrition to deliver energy for whatever your needs may be. Whether you’re biking through the city, taking your dog on a hike or training for a triathlon, our new products satisfy your hunger and provide the energy needed for every adventure.”
Here’s a look at each new Clif product …
Clif’s Fruit Smoothie Filled Energy Bars come in three flavors: Strawberry Banana, Wild Blueberry Acai and Tart Cherry Berry. All are available for a suggested retail price of $1.79 per bar. Besides fruit, its ingredients include nuts and seed butter. The product is the first USDA certified organic energy bar inspired by traditional smoothie ingredients, according to the company.
Clif officially enters the cereal aisle with its new Clif Energy Granola, which comes in four flavors: Blueberry Crisp, Cinnamon Almond, Cocoa Almond and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. The gluten-free, whole-grain granola is made with organic oats, almonds, seeds, dried fruit and 8 grams of plant-based protein. It's available for an SRP of $5.49 per 10-ounce pouch.
Clif’s new Sweet & Salty bars come in three flavors: Chocolate Chunk With Sea Salt, Caramel Toffee With Sea Salt and Peanut Butter and Honey With Sea Salt. All are available for an SRP of $1.49 per bar. These products were influenced by the homemade cookies at the employee-run cafe at Clif’s headquarters, according to the company.
Emeryville, Calif.-based Clif Bar manufactures organic snack bars including the Clif Bar and Clif Kid Luna. The company has been family- and employee-owned since it was founded in 1992.
