COSTA MESA, Calif. --7-Eleven Inc. has reached a distribution agreement with Ultra Mobile, a mobile operator that specializes in helping people connect with families and friends overseas. As part of Ultra Mobile’s strategy to double the number of its distribution outlets, the company will supply more than 6,000 7-Eleven convenience stores nationwide with its prepaid service plans.
Starting this month, operators of participating 7-Eleven c-stores will offer Ultra Mobile’s $29-per-month service plan and replenishments for customers renewing their plans. The plans provide unlimited international talk and text to more than 40 countries, 1,000 minutes of credit for calling anywhere in the world and data at 4G LTE speed.
"We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with a company that shares our vision of offering consumers convenience, affordability and plans tailored to meet their needs in prepaid mobile services," said Chris Furlong, Ultra Mobile's executive vice president of product and marketing. "7-Eleven's aim to provide a portfolio of wireless services that appeal to an important segment of their shoppers—immigrants to the U.S.—aligns perfectly with Ultra Mobile's strategic focus.”
Ultra Mobile services already are available for purchase and activation at almost 15,000 U.S. retail outlets.
