73 Wis. CITGO Stations Holding Toys for Tots Drive

Lakeside Oil, Condon Oil, Garrow Oil, Kaul Oil, Prairie State, U.S. Oil participating

MILWAUKEE -- Five Milwaukee-area CITGO marketers are teaming up to make 73 CITGO locations throughout southeastern Wisconsin collection points for this year's Toys for Tots program to benefit area children. From now through Dec. 18, Lakeside Oil Co., Condon Oil Co., Garrow Oil & Propane, Kaul Oil, Prairie State and U.S. Oil will help collect new, unwrapped toys at CITGO locations across five counties to help make this holiday season special for local families.

"For the past nine years, our community has worked together to ensure that the holidays are filled with joy and love for our local families, said Jack Sobczak, director of sales and marketing for Lakeside Oil. "This annual holiday drive has become the highlight of the season for many of us here at Lakeside and CITGO. Every donation will make a memorable and meaningful difference in the life of a local child, which is truly the best gift that we can give."

The annual fundraiser will be driven by the partnership formed between southeastern Wisconsin CITGO marketers and retailers, local Wisconsin radio station 106.1 FM and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. With the highest level of participation in their nine-year history of fundraising, Wisconsin CITGO retailers hope to collect more toys this year than ever before.

"Each year, CITGO is honored to partner with this group of local Marketers and community organizations in order to spread the holiday spirit," said Alan Flagg, general manager light oils marketing for CITGO Petroleum Corp.

"The annual Toys for Tots drive is such a wonderful way for us to give back to the communities in which we serve. For these Marketers and Retailers in particular, who live and work throughout Southeastern Wisconsin, this annual giving program offers them the opportunity to better the lives of their neighbors. In our minds, this spirit of giving epitomizes the holiday season," he said.

CITGO, based in Houston, is a refiner, transporter and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other industrial products. The company is owned by PDV America Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela SA, the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
