RBG awards scholarships
LISLE, Ill. -- Royal Buying Group Inc. announced the recipients of the 2008 Royal Buying Group education scholarships. One-thousand-dollar ($1000) scholarships were presented at the 2009 RBG Annual Programs Kick-Off Reception held at the Oak Brook Marriott in Oak Brook, Illinois on Feb. 19.

The first recipient, Christopher Nihit Shah is a senior at Walter Payton College Preparatory High School. His father Upendra Shah owns 7-12 Food Mart in Chicago. The second recipient, Nimra Khan is a sophomore at Elgin Community College. Nimra's father Rasheed Khan owns River Road Shell [image-nocss] in McHenry, Ill.

The scholarship amounts were generated from the Royal Buying Group annual golf outing held at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club on Oct. 2, 2008.

The Royal Buying Group Scholarship Program is open to eligible candidates that are high school seniors, or graduates who plan to or are enrolled at an accredited two- or four-year college or university that will lead to an academic degree. Eligible candidates include Royal Buying Group members and/or their children.

The 2010 Royal Buying Group education scholarship program enrollment will be open beginning on Oct. 1, 2009. Details and applications are available to RBG members after logging onto the Royal Buying Group Inc. website www.royalbuying.com.
