TEMPE, Ariz. -- The District on Apache, a private student housing facility in Tempe, Ariz., near Arizona State University, will be the first Grand Canyon State location for a Shop24 automated convenience store.
Shop24 provides consumers at locations such as colleges and universities, businesses and transportation hubs with the convenience to purchase meals, snacks and beverages from "an attractive, secure and 100% automated convenience store."
As a complement to its existing amenities, The District on Apache has chosen the Shop24 unit--accessible to the residents 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week in a well-lit, monitored environment--that delivers more than 200 items ranging from one ounce to 10 pounds.
"We designed this property for the modern student and that means providing every amenity possible. We feel that Shop24 is the best way to provide a 24 hour convenience store for our residents without devoting too much space," said Derek Anderson of Residential Housing Development. "We expect our residents to be pleased with our decision."
The store will be placed at street level on Apache Boulevard and will be available to the general public.
Westerville, Ohio-based Shop24 Global offers a self-contained, totally automated and refrigerated c-store designed to enable 24/7-accessible consumer purchasing.
