ExxonMobil Launches Smart Card Promotion

New cardholders can earn 18 cents per gallon on qualifying purchases for two months

FAIRFAX, Va. -- Exxon and Mobil retailers and Citi Retail Services are giving new Smart Card cardholders more ways to "Get Smart and Save" this summer. New ExxonMobil Smart Card cardholders who apply by Sept. 30, 2013, will receive a limited-time offer of 18-cents-per-gallon rebates on qualifying purchases for their first two billing cycles, then get the ongoing savings of six-cents-per-gallon rebates on qualifying purchases each cycle after.

Each billing cycle they purchase at least 45 gallons of Exxon or Mobil branded fuel they automatically receive the rebates as a credit on their billing statement. Savings apply from the first gallon up to 100 gallons each qualifying billing cycle.

"This promotion is a great opportunity to remind our customers that the ExxonMobil Smart Card is the smart way to pay for their fuel purchases," said John Rhodes, Americas retail sales director for ExxonMobil. "The Smart Card already offers a strong ongoing six-cents-per-gallon value, with pay-at-the-pump convenience at nearly 10,000 Exxon and Mobil stations, $0 fraud liability and the ability to link to a free Speedpass device. And new cardholders who apply by Sept. 30, 2013, will have the added incentive of triple introductory rebates."
