Family Express Partners With Purdue University

Retailer announces multi-year sports marketing deal

VALPARAISO, Ind. -- Family Express has forged a multi-year sports marketing relationship with West Lafayette, Ind.-based Purdue University Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Purdue Sports Properties LLC.

Effective with the upcoming fall football season, the Purdue-Family Express partnership will center on various social media promotions and contests throughout both football and basketball seasons. Specifically, Purdue fans have the opportunity to win "Free Gas for a Year" at select football and basketball games and can download the Family Express mobile app to monitor gasoline prices at certain locations.

Additionally, fans can "Save a Fortune on Fuel" through the F.E. Perks loyalty program providing them the opportunity to earn cents-off-per-gallon rewards when making purchases inside the store.

"This partnership is a great fit for both Purdue University and Family Express, as both institutions are recognized for their innovation and leadership," said Morgan Burke, Purdue's director of intercollegiate athletics.

"We know Boilermaker fans will see the value and impact from the new Family Express partnership and look forward to the launch and initiatives taking off this fall," said Dean Fredette, general manager for Purdue Sports Properties, the West Lafayette entity of Learfield Sports, which manages multimedia rights for more than 50 institutions and associations including seven Big Ten Conference member schools.

Valparaiso, Ind.-based Family Express operates approximately 60 convenience stores throughout northwestern and north central Indiana.
