Jiffy Mart Adds New Car Wash Technology

Installs Autec EV-1 Soft Touch unit at Airpark location
WESTMINSTER, Md. -- Jiffy Mart's Airpark location in Westminster, Md., is evolving with the needs of its customers, the company said, and has installed an Autec EV-1 Soft Touch Combo Car Wash System.

The new car wash includes multiple levels of soft touch friction, high-pressure touchless, or a combination of both washes. During the designated wash pass, the nozzles spray tires, wheels and rocker panels, while dispensing formulating foam and a presoak pass applied via high pressure. The high-pressure spray adjusts to the vehicles length by the use of infrared photo eyes, [image-nocss] and the system is green friendly, as it has the ability to reclaim the water.

There are four packages offered ranging from the Touchless Wash to the Ultimate Wash, and there is a 10-cents-per-gallon gasoline discount offered up to 15 gallons on any wash purchase made at the fuel dispenser.

Statesville, N.C.-based AUTEC offers three car wash systems categories: Soft touch friction vehicle wash systems, touchfree wash systems and a combination wash system that features both technologies.

Westminster-based Jiffy Mart and its parent company, Tevis Oil, operate convenience stores exclusively in Carroll County including Westminster, Finksburg and Hampstead, Md. Tevis Oil also offers heating oil and propane, as well as commercial fueling services. It also offers Modern Comfort Systems heating and cooling services.
