Kwik Trip Helps Answer Lourdes’ Prayer

Donates $100,000 to Rochester high school

ROCHESTER, Minn. -- Kwik Trip Inc. donated $100,000 to the Lourdes Building Our Future capital campaign, which funds the construction of the new Lourdes High School in northwest Rochester, Minn., according to a report in the Post Bulletin.

"The Kwik Trip family feels it is important to make a difference in someone's life, and this gift is an example of that mission," John McHugh, director of corporate communications for Kwik Trip Inc., told the newspaper. "We are pleased to support the Lourdes Building Our Future campaign."

La Crosse, Wis.-based Kwik Trip has more than 400 convenience stores with 10,000 employees in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.

"We are tremendously grateful to Kwik Trip for their generous gift to the campaign," said Michael Brennan, director of schools for Rochester Catholic Schools. "Their contribution to this project is truly an investment in the future of Rochester."

Construction on the new Lourdes High School is moving at a strong pace. The Lourdes Building Our Future campaign stands at $13.2 million in gifts and pledges. The goal is $15 million.

Rochester Catholic Schools has 1,790 students in grades preschool through 12 at four schools.
