Customers are also being encouraged to participate in other local fundraising events hosted by Love's employees such as auctions, raffles, hot dog or bake sales or car washes. In addition, canisters to collect spare change will also be located in many of the convenience stores.
"Love's [image-nocss] national presence allows us to donate directly to Children's Miracle Network hospitals in nearly 90 markets, which makes our annual campaign a great fit," said Jenny Love Meyer, Love's director of communications. "We know our customers appreciate that the money they donate goes directly to their local Children's Miracle Network hospital. In a struggling economy, it's inspiring to see the continued spirit of giving from our customers as well as the time and effort our store teams contribute."
The funds raised from Love's four-week campaign ending September 30 will help fundmedical care, research and education that saves and improves the lives of 17 million children treated at Children's Miracle Network hospitals each year and the funds stay in the community where they were raised.
Love's has been a partner of Children's Miracle Network since 1998, raising funds for children's hospitals through various fundraising campaigns. Love's and its customers have raised more than $3.5 million to help sick and injured children in the communities where it operates.
