Jeffs succeeds resigning Kennedy; Springs takes newly created position

ARVADA, Colo. -- Car wash system manufacturer Mark VII Equipment Inc. said that Murray Kennedy has resigned from his position as chief executive officer. He will be leaving the company for a new opportunity in a different industry effective September 2, 2011. Steve Jeffs has been named as president and CEO. The company has established the position of chief operating officer and has named Rainer Springs to the role.

Kennedy joined Mark VII in November 2006 from Richardson Electronics Ltd.

Jeffs has been serving as Mark VII's vice president of sales and service for [image-nocss] four years. During his tenure with Mark VII, Jeffs has achieved growth in key account sales throughout the entire Mark VII geography. Prior to Mark VII, Steve served as the managing director of WashTec's U.K. operations.

Mark VII will further strengthening its management board by establishing the position of COO. Rainer Springs, one of the most experienced managers from WashTec's European organization, has accepted the position. "Steve is the logical choice to run our U.S. organization," said Thorsten Krueger, spokesperson for the WashTec AG board. "Murray has done a great job of managing the company for the past five years. Steve and Rainer will continue our successful strategy with a seamless transition."
