Mark VII Launches Direct Operations in California, Florida

Oil company, c-store contracts in major carwash markets prompt moves

ARVADA, Colo. -- Mark VII Equipment Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of WashTec AG of Germany, a leading producer of vehicle washing equipment worldwide, has announced it has launched direct sales and service operations in Florida, northern California and southern California. The moves were prompted by Mark VII being awarded multiple oil company and convenience store contracts to supply service, chemicals and equipment to their company-owned carwash sites, the company said.

Banks & Co., based in Fresno, Calif., will continue to sell and service Mark VII products in central [image-nocss] California.

"California and Florida are two of the largest carwash markets in the U.S.," said Steve Jeffs, CEO of Mark VII. "Our Category Captain Program for key accounts--which includes servicing all major brands of equipment, supplying chemicals, providing marketing support and upgrading equipment--was the key driver for us winning the major account contracts. Now any carwash operator in these markets can benefit from quality Mark VII service."

Founded in 1966 and based in Arvada, Colo., Mark VII Equipment is the North American subsidiary of WashTec AG. The combined companies have a global installed base of more than 30,000 units and sell a complete line of touch-free and friction rollover, self-serve, truck and tunnel carwash systems, as well as ancillary products, chemicals and services.
