Mark VII Signs New Distributor for Utah, Nevada, Idaho

Signs signed Buddco Distributing; acquires assets of TD Industries, Calgary
ARVADA, Colo. Car wash manufacturer Mark VII Equipment Inc. said that it has signed Buddco Distributing as its distributor for Utah, Nevada and Idaho. The move coincides with Buddco's acquisition of Mark VII's former distributor Wash Pro Inc.

"We welcome Buddco to the Mark VII distributor network," said Ryan Beaty, vice president of sales for the Western Region for Mark VII. "We're confident that its strong sales and service organization will take good care of our installed customer base while continuing to expand sales in the area."

Separately, Mark VII recently [image-nocss] announced that it has acquired the assets of its distributor TD Industries and opened direct operations in Calgary, Alberta.

"We welcome the TD Industries team to the Mark VII family," said Murray Kennedy, CEO of Mark VII. "They've been selling Mark VII carwash systems and chemicals in western Canada for six years and are well-respected throughout the region for providing great service and support to their customers. They're also experienced at servicing customers that own equipment from multiple vendors, which is a key part of Mark VII's strategy of being the go-to partner for multi-site operators, so it's a perfect time to join forces."

And in other company news, Mark VII Equipment Inc., has rolled out its new TurboJet XT overhead-mounted in-bay automatic and JetWash self-serve systems.

"WashTec/Mark VII is the global leader in gantry rollovers, but there's a segment of the market that prefers overhead-mounted IBAs," said Kennedy. "The TurboJet XT leverages our expertise in touchfree carwashing to bring unique innovations to the inverted L format."

Separate top and side high pressure manifolds are offset to reduce spray interference and to allow the top to be turned off while the arm finishes washing the sides of the vehicle. Combined with the greater efficiency of the turbo nozzles, the results are substantial water savings and lower operating costs, the company said.

"Our protective arm cover opens like a clamshell to allow easy access to service the nozzles," added Steve Robinson, marketing director for Mark VII. "Plus we designed a special valve to deliver both high- and low-pressure fluids to the rotating arm that is easy to service without removing the arm."

The new JetWash self-serve system accommodates up to four bays on a single frame that has a 57% smaller footprint than its predecessor. New features include VFDs to vary pump speed by wash function, direct drive pumps that require less maintenance and are smoother and quieter than belts and pulleys, chemical injectors for more precise control over chemical consumption and lighted solenoid plugs for easier troubleshooting.

Arvada, Colo.-based Mark VII is a wholly owned subsidiary of WashTec AG of Germany, a leading producer of vehicle washing equipment worldwide. The combined companies have a global installed base of more than 30,000 units and sell a complete line of touchfree and friction rollover, self-serve, truck and tunnel carwash systems, as well as ancillary products and services. WashTec AG and Mark VII are not related to or affiliated with Integrated Services Inc., a U.S. company that markets a car wash controller product under the trademark WashTEC.
