Cardtronics will provide ATM processing, services to 225-store chain
SAN RAMON, Calif. -- Pacific Convenience & Fuels LLC and Cardtronics USA Inc. have entered into a long-term agreement through which Cardtronics will provide ATM processing and managed services for 225 Pacific Convenience & Fuels store locations. Based in San Ramon, Calif., Pacific Convenience & Fuels operates convenience stores in six states and is the largest Circle K licensee in the country.

"It was important to Pacific Convenience & Fuels to offer our customers a world-class ATM experience," said Charlene Kovacsik, director of marketing at Pacific Convenience &[image-nocss] amp; Fuels. "Cardtronics proved to be the ideal partner. We are able to tap into the processing, monitoring and service functions of a large ATM network, allowing us to focus on our core business while continuing to provide the ancillary services that our customers want and need."

"Cardtronics is a recognized leader in the processing of ATM transactions, driving well over 30,000 financial kiosks," said Brian Archer, Chief Marketing Officer at Cardtronics. "We have built a powerful, secure, reliable platform for operating financial kiosks and have coupled that with industry-leading monitoring, customer service, maintenance and problem resolution capabilities. The end result is a superior ATM processing and management platform that provides great value for our merchant customers and enhanced service for tens of thousands of consumers every day."

Pacific Convenience & Fuels acquired all of the U.S. retail assets of ConocoPhillips Co. in January 2009. With that acquisition, Pacific's portfolio includes more than 570 company-owned, dealer, and fee operator sites in California, Colorado, Oregon, Nevada, Texas and Washington. It is a major marketer of the 76 and Conoco brands and is the largest franchisee of Circle K in the United States.

Headquartered in Houston, Cardtronics is the world's largest nonbank owner of ATMs. It operates more than 33,400 ATMs across its portfolio, with ATMs in every major market in the United States and Puerto Rico, more than 2,600 ATMs throughout the United Kingdom, and more than 2,600 ATMs throughout Mexico. Major merchant clients include 7-Eleven, Chevron, Costco, CVS/pharmacy, ExxonMobil, Rite Aid, Safeway, Sunoco, Target and Walgreens. Complementing its ATM operations, Cardtronics works with financial institutions of all sizes to provide their customers with convenient cash access and deposit capabilities through ATM branding, surcharge-free programs and image deposit services. Approximately 11,100 Cardtronics owned and operated ATMs currently feature bank brands.
