Includes rights to operate units at chain's future c-store locations

The latest agreement extends a relationship between the two companies that began in 2011. Cardtronics currently manages and operates more than 1,400 ATMs for The Pantry, which has 1,509 Kangaroo Express and other convenience stores in 13 states.

As part of the agreement, Cardtronics has expansion rights to operate ATMs for The Pantry in its future store locations. The company also participates in the Allpoint Network, Cardtronics' surcharge-free ATM network.

"Renewing our agreement with Cardtronics enables us to continue providing a valuable service--convenient cash access--to our customers," said Robin Vaughn, category manager, The Pantry, Cary, N.C.

"Beyond that, we can enable our guests to obtain cash surcharge-free through our participation in Allpoint and the relationships with ATM branding partner financial institutions that Cardtronics has brought to the table. No matter who our customers bank with, we're working with Cardtronics to help make their lives easier," he said.

David Dove, president of Cardtronics' North American Business Group, said, "The Pantry's early renewal is a testament to the continued positive relationship we share. The Pantry has chosen to continue working with us to meet their customers' needs and, in turn, drive traffic to their stores."

Houston-based Cardtronics is at the convergence of retailers, financial institutions, prepaid-card programs and the customers they share. It owns and operates more than 111,150 retail ATMs in the United States and internationally.
