Phillips 66, 76, Conoco Announce Winner of Gas for Life

Glendale, Calif., resident takes pump prize

HOUSTON -- Phillips 66, 76 and Conoco gas station chains have announced that Maria Brown from Glendale, Calif., has won gasoline for life by filling up with Top Tier Detergent Gasoline at a 76 gas station this summer.

Brown participated, along with 240,000 other people, in the Gas for Life promotion from the Phillips 66 Co.--which ran in more than 50 markets during June and July.

"With gas prices on the rise, I'm grateful to 76 for this gift that will help me and my family for many years to come," said Brown. "Every time I fill up at a 76 station, I know I'm getting the highest quality gas for my car as well as a great customer experience."

For the sixth year in a row, the Phillips 66 Co. held an annual sweepstakes at more than 3,500 participating Phillips 66, 76 and Conoco stations.

Drivers who filled up with 10 gallons or more of high performance gasoline at participating stations received a game card with a promotional code. By entering the code online, drivers had a chance to win prizes including 6,000 $20 gasoline cards, 24 chances for free gasoline for one year, and the grand prize of free gasoline for life. Entries were limited to one per day, per person, per email account.

"While we take pride in providing our patrons Top Tier Detergent Gasoline, the most important thing in the car is the person behind the wheel," said Tami Walker, manager of U.S. fuels brand management for Phillips 66, 76 and Conoco. "We're committed to always being on the driver's side, so it gives us great pleasure to give our loyal customers, like Maria, several great prizes to make their lives a little easier."

Phillips 66 hosted a celebration in Brown's honor on October 13 at the 76 Express Service Center Pacific in Glendale, where she received the winning game card. Attendees had the opportunity to receive $100 gasoline cards and family four-packs of local theme park tickets.
