Pilot Flying J Celebrates Driver Appreciation Month

Offering double MyRewards points in September

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The month of September as Driver Appreciation Month at all 648 travel centers and travel plazas in the Pilot Flying J network; they are offering double points on professional drivers' MyRewards cards from August 28-October 2.

"For decades, professional drivers have stopped at Pilot Travel Centers and Flying J travel plazas to refuel, eat, shower and rest while they're on the road," said Jimmy Haslam, CEO of Pilot Flying J. "America relies on professional drivers; they are what keeps this country moving. Professional drivers are hardworking, talented and inspiring individuals."

He added, "That's our renewed focus at Pilot Flying J--that the driver comes first, and it's our job to appreciate, respect and thank them for what they do. That's why we're treating September as an opportunity to recognize our valued customers. All 21,000 employees in the Pilot Flying J family are looking forward to celebrating America's drivers."

In addition to double rewards points for the entire month, Pilot Flying J plans to celebrate National Driver Appreciation Week, September 17-22, by offering additional staff to meet drivers when they visit stores and gather feedback for the company.

"We want to hear from drivers--what we are doing well, what we could improve, what needs aren't being met," Haslam said. "We're striving to make each driver's day the best it can be, and we rely on driver feedback to provide the exceptional service our customers deserve."

Based in Knoxville, Tenn., Pilot Flying J has more than 600 retail locations across North America. The Pilot Flying J network provides customers with access to more than 60,000 parking spaces for trucks, more than 4,400 showers and more than 4,000 diesel lanes, of which more than 2,000 offer diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) at the pump. The company employs over 21,000 people and is the largest operator of travel centers and travel plazas in North America.
