Rutter's Rewards Customer Wins Free Gas for Year

28 other customers win $100 Rutter's gift cards

YORK, Pa. -- Tammy Hess, a long-time Rutter's customer from Spring Garden Township, York County, Pa., has won free gasoline for one year just for registering her Rutter's Rewards card online at www.ruttersrewards.com. Rutter's offered the prize to encourage customers to register their Rutter's Rewards cards. Twenty-eight other registered customers won $100 Rutter's gift cards.

Rutter's Rewards customers earn cents off gasoline for purchasing any of more than 1,600 everyday items bearing a special display icon. For [image-nocss] example, a customer who buys a Rutter's breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee every morning for a week on his way to work could earn a discount of 10 cents per gallon on his next fillup.

Most items carry a one-cent per gallon reward: buy five of an item with a one-cent reward, for instance, and customers earn a five-cent-per-gallon reward. All grades of gasoline, plus diesel and kerosene, are eligible for redemption of cents-off rewards.

It is free to participate in Rutter's Rewards, and there is no limit to the dollar amount that customers can earn. Rewards are good for 60 days from the date on which they are earned.

To get started, customers pick up a Rutter's Rewards card and brochure at any Rutter's store. They can register their cards online or by returning the application to any Rutter's store.

When they join Rutter's Rewards, customers receive two key chain cards and one magnetic stripe card. To earn rewards, they present any one of the cards when they purchase a qualifying item. The magnetic stripe card (not the key chain cards) must be used at the pump or at the cash register to redeem the accumulated awards.

Family-owned and third-generation managed, York-based Rutter's Farm Stores operates 54 convenience stores in York, Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin and Lancaster counties in Pennsylvania.
