Sinclair Oil Rolls Out New Loyalty Program

Participants in DinoRewards can receive free phone, discounts on gas

SALT LAKE CITY -- Sinclair Oil Corp., with 1,300 gas stations in 24 states, now offers customers an opportunity to earn rewards with online purchases, then convert them to discounted gasoline through its new DinoRewards program.

Participants benefit in the form of Sinclair gas credits when they shop online. Sinclair has partnered with Billaway to deploy the advanced customer appreciation program.

Merchants, including Target, Nordstrom, Best Buy and 1-800-Flowers, are among the thousands participating.

Early adopters of the rewards program will receive a free Android smartphone offer. Participating customers register for DinoRewards and then are directed to a webpage to choose a phone while supplies last. It requires a new or upgraded two-year activation plan.

“Sinclair Oil set out to offer a rewards program that did not ask customers to change their behavior, and Billaway was the only one we felt accomplished this goal," said Russell Gibson, Sinclair Oil marketing manager. "Now our customers can reduce the monthly amount they pay for fuel and enjoy a new phone as well."

Customers join DinoRewards by registering via email, Facebook or LinkedIn. Registrants receive the Android smartphone offer for signing up.

After shopping online at their favorite merchants, DinoRewards members automatically earn rewards that they can apply to a Sinclair credit-card bill or redeem them for a Sinclair gift card.

With the New DinoRewards Program, they may also earn discounted gasoline by printing and using coupons, taking surveys, playing games, watching movie trailers and engaging in other activities.

The Billaway platform is unique at driving consumers to participating merchants where they will ultimately benefit financially by what they purchase.”

The Sinclair DinoRewards phone promotion is executed by Pagemaster Mobile, Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Billaway, based in New York, is a free cash business-to-business loyalty platform. Consumers engage daily with a company’s branded app; they print coupons, play games, shop, watch videos and take surveys offered by more than 28,000 of their favorite global brands. Each time they engage, they earn free cash to spend with the participating retailer. More than 350 companies around the world use Billaway to increase retention, acquisition and revenues.

Salt Lake City-based Sinclair owns and operates two refineries in Wyoming along with a network of both crude oil and finished-product pipelines and terminals in the Rocky Mountain and midcontinent regions. The company markets fuel in 24 states, supplying fuels to more than 1,300 branded gas stations, featuring DinoCare Top Tier gasoline.
