LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Thorntons Inc. said that it has again partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, Kentucky Region, and as of April 27, all Thorntons convenience store locations will sell Wish Stars for $1, with 100% of the proceeds going back to the foundation. This is the fourth year Thorntons has partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and since 2008, Thorntons has raised more than $40,000 for the foundation.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Founded in 1983, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana chapter is the largest of the 64 Make-A-Wish chapters in the country in both territory and wishes granted. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, Kentucky Region, has fulfilled the individual wishes of 852 local children since it was founded in 2001. Currently, it has more than 225 pending wishes.
