Tri-State Petroleum Awards Grants to 32 Schools in W.Va., Pa., Ohio

Participates in 2010 Educational Alliance Program sponsored by ExxonMobil
WHEELING, W.Va. -- Tri-State Petroleum Corp., a family-owned convenience store operator and wholesale distributor of motor fuels in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, has announced that through its participation in the 2010 Educational Alliance Program sponsored by Exxon Mobil Corp., $24,000 in grants have been awarded to local schools. The company has awarded 32 area schools with grants of $750 each.

"For more than a decade, Tri-State Petroleum has been passionate about supporting education in our local communities," said Colleen C. McGlinn, chief executive officer of [image-nocss] Tri-State Petroleum Corporation. "We are very proud of our involvement with the ExxonMobil Education Alliance Program, and are pleased to offer grants to several area schools as we help to promote the importance of educational excellence."

The following schools in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania participated in the Educational Alliance Program and were awarded grants by Tri-State Petroleum:

Ohio Schools: Newport Elementary School, Shadyside High School, St. Clairsville High School, and Cambridge High School.

West Virginia Schools (Wheeling region): Arthur I. Boreman Elementary, Central Catholic High School, Corpus Christi School, Madison Elementary School, Our Lady of Peace School, Ripley Elementary School, St. Michael's Parish School, St. Paul Elementary School, Steenrod Elementary School, Weir Middle School, Wheeling Catholic Elementary, and St. Vincent De Paul School.

Pennsylvania Schools (Greater Pittsburgh area): Aiken Elementary, Ambridge Sr. High School, Big Beaver Elementary School, Big Knob Elementary School, Chartiers Valley High School, Christ the Divine Teacher Catholic Academy, Dorseyville Middle School, Dr. Cleveland Steward Jr. Elementary School (formerly Moss Side), Fairmount Elementary School, Plum Senior High School, Regency Park Elementary School, Shaler Area High School, South Fayette Middle School, St. Ursula School, Trinity North Elementary School, and West Allegheny High School.

As part of the 2010 ExxonMobil Education Alliance Program, Tri-State Petroleum identifies schools in the local community, encourages the schools to apply for grants and works with the schools to streamline the application process. Through its participation in the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program over the last 11 years, Tri-State Petroleum has awarded more than $152,000 for local community schools.
