PHOENIX -- Ahmed Abdelghani, owner of Gate Way No. 28, located in Dallas, recently added U-Haul truck and trailer rentals to the Shell-branded gas station business he has been operating since August 1, 2011.
The station can now offer its customers in need of moving products and services a variety of moving equipment and supplies designed specifically for moving household furnishings, including moving vans, open trailers, closed trailers, furniture pads, appliance dollies, furniture dollies, tow dollies and auto transports. It also will offer sales items to protect their customers' belongings and make moving easier, such as heavy-duty boxes, which are made of up to 90% recycled content and are available in a variety of sizes.

Separately, Amit Patel, owner of Octane Food Mart, located in Hardeesville, S.C., recently added U-Haul truck and trailer rentals to the convenience store business, said Steve Redmond, president of U-Haul Co. of Coastal South Carolina. "
Also, Bill Choi, owner of Comox Husky, located in Comox, British Columbia, recently added U-Haul truck and trailer rentals to the gas station business, said Horace Martin, president of U-Haul Co. of British Columbia.
And Sergio Gonzalez, owner of R&S Drive Thru 2 in Laredo, Texas, recently added U-Haul truck and trailer rentals to the convenience store business, according to Michael Whittington, president of U-Haul Co. of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Phoenix-based U-Haul was founded by a Navy veteran who grew up during the Depression. Tires and gas were still rationed or in short supply during the late 1940s when U-Haul began serving U.S. customers.
