DEERFIELD, Ill. – Mondelez International Inc.’s Nabisco brand has launched Oreo’s newest limited-edition cookie variety, S’mores, the snack maker confirmed for CSP Daily News.
Inspired by the longtime campfire treat, the new flavor, which some have dubbed "S'Moreos," includes a graham cracker-flavored cookie with a chocolate-marshmallow creme filling.
“Think s'mores that have been sitting out overnight,” said a Los Angeles Times report. “Still good, just cold.”
The variety hits shelves nationwide starting May 22. The suggest retail price (SPR) is $4.49.
Consumers can get in on the action before the variety hits shelves, the company said.
“To make the unofficial start to summer even sweeter, OREO has teamed up with Zipcar to deliver a taste of S’mores OREO cookies to select road trippers headed into one of the biggest travel weekends of the year. Whether heading out of town for the weekend or sneaking away on a day trip, some lucky Zipsters who have made a reservation will find a surprise pack of S’mores Oreo cookies in the passenger seat of select rentals on May 21 and 22.”
The company also recently introduced Red Velvet Oreos, also for a limited time.
