Ben & Jerry’s Introduces Gimme S'more Flavor

Rollout continues busy year of new ice-cream launches

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -- Ben & Jerry’s revealed a new flavor through a Facebook Live video March 15, giving consumers "s’more" treats to indulge in. Its new Gimme S’more variety—not to be confused with its longtime S’mores flavor—is available in pints at retailers nationwide and as a sundae exclusively at participating Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops.

The flavor features toasted marshmallow ice cream, fudge flakes and swirls of chocolate cookies and graham crackers. Ben & Jerry's has replaced its chocolate ice cream in the original S’mores flavor for this new toasted marshmallow option.

"The toasted marshmallow ice-cream base adds a new level and depth of flavor," said Eric Fredette, flavor guru for Ben & Jerry’s. As a guru, one of Fredette’s duties is to conceptualize the chain’s distinct flavors. "We're constantly looking at how we can take our flavors to the next level, and this was a great way to do just that," he said.

The Gimme S’more launch continues a busy start to 2018 for Ben & Jerry’s. In January, the ice-cream company revealed a line of truffle-inspired flavors, including Chocolate Shake It and Caramel Chocolate Cheesecake; two nondairy options, including Peanut Butter Half Baked; and three additions to its Pint Slices, which were originally released in February 2017, in flavors such as Cherry Garcia and Tonight Dough.

South Burlington, Vt.-based Ben & Jerry's produces various ice creams, light ice creams, yogurts and sorbets. The company’s products are sold in convenience stores, supermarkets, grocery stores, franchise Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops, restaurants and other venues in 35 countries.
