SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -- If you search for Ben & Jerry's Slices on YouTube, dozens of videos on making the perfect ice-cream sandwich come up. Ice-cream and snack enthusiasts have been doing it for years. It was about time the actual brand caught up. On Feb. 1, Ben & Jerry's, South Burlington, Vt., released its latest ice-cream innovation called Pint Slices.
"Inspired by the very best part of the pint," Pint Slices include all the chunks and swirls of its most popular flavors in a round, single-serving treat that’s dipped in a chocolatey coating, the company said.
"It took us years to perfect how to squeeze in all the chunks and swirls our fans have come to expect," said Dena Wimette, global innovation manager for Ben & Jerry's. "Using top secret technology, we finally got it. Of course, with all those thick, rich ingredients, there was no room for a stick. It just didn't fit."

The shape and size of Ben & Jerry’s Pint Slices look just as they would if you took a knife and cut a wedge right out of the middle of a pint. Each Pint Slice is wrapped in an “easy-open” pouch that doubles as a mess-protector, the company says.
Ben & Jerry’s Pint Slices are made with fair-trade-certified, non-GMO ingredients and are available in four flavors: Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Vanilla Peanut Butter Cup and Americone Dream.
All four flavors will be available in three-count boxes nationwide beginning this month. They will be found in the novelty section of the ice-cream aisle at an SRP of $4.29-$4.99. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pint Slices also will be sold individually for an SRP $2.99, and will be available in stores and Scoop Shops nationwide.
