The store is 5,756 square feet with a stacked stone [image-nocss] exterior and composition gabled roof. The interior has open beamed ceilings, stained concrete floors, track lighting and pendant lights over the guest tables and booths. The store also features a new menu board system featuring 42-inch LCD digital video screens.
The new store will still have the traditional fountain area for ice cream, grill area for sandwiches, and Fresh Market for dairy, bakery, meat and produce; however, incorporated in the new prototype is a much larger Fresh Market with wider aisles, double checkout counters and automatic doors for easier customer shopping.
Braum's Fresh Market offers more than 150 fresh meats, fruits and vegetables, as well as its full line of dairy and bakery products.
In 2008, Braum's began construction on a new 80,000-square-foot bakery production facility on its Family Farm in Tuttle, Okla. Previously located in Oklahoma City, bakery operations are relocating to the new facility in spring 2009. Braum's bakes the fresh bakery items available in the stores including ice cream cones, muffins, cinnamon rolls, cookies, cakes, breads and hamburger buns.
The "Family Farm" in Tuttle, Okla., is also home to the Braum's processing plant, milk barn and dairy herd (with more than10,000 holstein cows), distribution center, water treatment facility and truck maintenance facility.
Oklahoma City-based, family-owned Braum's operates approximately 275 stores located throughout Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri and Arkansas.
