HOMEWOOD, Ill. -- Carl Buddig & Co. and Old Wisconsin are launching the Fill Your Tank promotion to give consumers a chance for relief at the gasoline pump and to win other prizes. The summer sweepstakes runs July 3 through Sept. 30, 2012.
"Pain at the gas pump has hit many Americans hard this year and we're excited to kick off the Fill Your Tank sweepstakes to provide our retail customers with a timely promotion to fuel sales for Buddig Lunchmeat and Old Wisconsin meat snack products," said Tom Buddig, executive vice president of marketing for Carl Buddig.
Sweepstakes prizing includes two grand prizes of a year's worth of free gasoline ($3,500 retail value), plus weekly giveaways of gas cards ($100 retail value) and AmeriGas Propane gift cards ($20 retail value). Coupons for Buddig Lunchmeat and Old Wisconsin products will also be awarded weekly.
Consumers will be encouraged to join the campaign through an on-pack sticker featured on select varieties of Buddig Original, Deli Cuts and Old Wisconsin products. Additional promotional support for the sweepstakes includes a newspaper advertising campaign featuring money saving coupons, public relations and social media.
Meanwhile, appealing to growing demand for lean meat snacks, Old Wisconsin has introduced two new turkey meat snack products. Old Wisconsin Turkey Snack Slices and Old Wisconsin Turkey Summer Sausage feature the authentic, hardwood-smoked flavoring the brand is famous for, but with less fat and calories than traditional meat snacks.
These products are also trans fat and gluten free.
"Americans consume more turkey than any other nation, and we're proud to satisfy that demand by bringing consumers and our retailers the largest selection of turkey meat snack products in the industry," said Jeff Weber, Old Wisconsin national sales manager.
Old Wisconsin turkey meat snack products include Old Wisconsin Turkey Snack Slices. This six-ounce package includes ready-to-eat, seasoned turkey slices. The resealable, stay-fresh bag makes snacking on multiple occasions easy.
Old Wisconsin Turkey Summer Sausage are nine ounces of premium quality turkey.
These Old Wisconsin turkey meat snacks join the brand's many other varieties of ready-to-eat Turkey Snack Sticks and Turkey Snack Bites.
Carl Buddig, based in Homewood, Ill., is a family-owned, privately held company managed by the third generation of the original founder.
