Hershey’s Breaks the Internet Into Pieces

Confirms social-media rumors, offers details on new candy-brand mashup

HERSHEY, Pa. -- After rumors and speculation went viral on social media, the Reese’s brand has confirmed that it is launching a new product—Reese’s Pieces Peanut Butter Cups, mini Reese’s Pieces candy inside of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.

The new product mashup will be available on store shelves nationwide starting in mid-July. It will be available in the standard two-cup 1.5-ounce size (suggested retail price $1.29) and the Big Cup two-cup 2.8-ounce size (SRP $1.99).

Since the beginning of May, the brand has been teasing the new Reese's Stuffed With Pieces candy on its social-media sites with the hashtag #Cupfusion, said a report by Convenience Store Products.

The Hershey Co., based in Hershey, Pa., is a global confectionery company with more than 80 brands that drive more than $7.4 billion in annual revenues, including Hershey’s, Reese’s, Hershey’s Kisses, Jolly Rancher, Ice Breakers and Brookside.
