Kind Introduces 3 New Flavors

Pressed and Healthy Grains portfolios expand in 2017

NEW YORK -- Kind began shipping new flavors in two of its lines of bars at the start of the new year.

Kind Healthy Grains bars are now available in Cinnamon Oat and Double Dark Chocolate flavors. Each bar contains 5 grams of sugar, as well as a blend of oats, millet, quinoa, amaranth and buckwheat.

The Pressed line now includes Strawberry Apple Chia, a new flavor that contains two full servings of fruit and is vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free. Kind said it introduced the strawberry flavor because it's the most popular berry fruit in the United States, with roughly 94% of Americans consuming an average of 3.4 pounds of fresh strawberries and an additional 1.8 pounds of frozen strawberries each year.

Kind is based in New York and was founded in 2004 as a line of premium fruit and nut bars. It now produces a wide variety of snacks for different occasions, all with ingredients such as whole nuts, seeds, whole grains and pieces of fruit. All of its snacks are gluten-free and do not contain genetically engineered ingredients.
