Pow! Smack! High-Protein Amarok Stick Hits the Scene

Superpowered Nutrition debuts product at Wizard World Chicago

SPARTA, N.J. -- It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Superpowered Nutrition!

Geared toward comic-book fans and gamers, Superpowered Nutrition LLC has announced it will unveil its first product line – grass-fed-beef snacks called Amarok -- at Wizard World Chicago this weekend (Aug. 18-21).

Of the company’s 2015 debut, co-founder Rich Fitter said, “We are just two nerds bringing our greatest passions together: comic books and nutrition.” Co-founder Jeff Baitinger said the plan is to launch high-protein snacks that have not been seen before in the industry.

Superpowered Nutrition snacks will all have a superhero theme. The company is creating a comic-book character around each product. Its team includes a former DC Comics editor plus other published comic-book artists.

The first, Amarok, is an 8-inch beef stick that contains 20 grams of protein, with zero grams of sugar and 8 grams of fat per package. It uses Paleo-friendly premium grass-fed beef and weighs in at 160 calories.

Based on Inuit mythology, Amarok is part man and part wolf with supernatural abilities.

Superpowered Nutrition LLC is based in Sparta, N.J., and was founded in 2015.
