Quinn to Return as Sweets & Snacks Expo Chair

Mars Chocolate executive agree to third year

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -- Mars Chocolate North America has announced that Tim Quinn, vice president of trade development, has agreed to chair the National Confectioners Association's (NCA) 2014 Sweets & Snacks Expo for the third year in a row. The Expo is the largest venue representing all major U.S. distribution channels of candy and snack products in one location; it attracted more than15,000 industry professionals from 90 countries in May 2013.

The 2014 Sweets & Snacks Expo will take place May 20-22 at Chicago's McCormick Place convention center.

"It's truly an honor to be asked to return to lead this vital forum for sharing and showcasing innovation within our industry," Quinn said. "The Sweets & Snacks Expo has evolved over the past 17 years, becoming not only a trade show for new products, but also an invaluable resource for the industry. It's a place where manufacturers and customers can find practical business strategies, inspiring ideas and effective merchandising solutions."

In his 30-year career at Mars, Quinn has held a number of sales and marketing positions of progressive responsibility. He has worked with multiple trade channels and gained a broad background in delivering customer-specific, consumer-focused solutions. Quinn also serves as an ex-officio member of the NCA Executive Board and holds leadership positions in multiple industry associations, including NACS, NACDS and FMI. In 2012, Quinn was inducted into the "Candy Hall of Fame," which recognizes individuals who made major contributions to the global confectionery industry.
